The Rules

1) Journalists can both post requests through this service, and also receive casestudylink alerts. However, to recieve alerts, you must be freelance, a local reporter or work for a news or feature agency, and you must prove to Case Study Link that you have a specialism in human interest stories. Sorry, but journalists working on publications will not be able to recieve alerts. Contact us to find out more.

2) However, if you are freelance, and through this service, you get wind that another freelance has been commissioned to write a piece that you can provide a case study for, do not go directly to the publication in question and try to hi-jack the commission. That is just bad karma. Think of it is this way, if you can earn money for helping another freelancer then that’s surely a good thing – and you’ll have karma on your side. Freelances who break this rule will not be able to continue receiving the alerts.

3) If you get a case study from an agency or freelance, and go on to use this case study in your piece, you will be expected to pay at the very least a tip fee for the contact details. If an agency or freelance provides copy, the fee will be higher, and in some instances, the case study will expect a fee too. Please negotiate all of this directly with the agency or freelance that contacts you.

4) Do not use this service to send general emails about non-specific case study searches, as this will only frustrate everyone. Please ask for specific case studies and provide details of your exact requirements.
